This is running in the Mojave Desert at its finest. Choose from a menu of distances including 5k, 10k, half marathon, marathon, and 50k. The paved scenic course covers rolling hills.
Commencing at an elevation of roughly 4500 feet, runners experience high desert vegetation including Joshua Trees, Pinion-Juniper, Mountain Rose, Sagebrush, and the singular beauty of the Toiyabe National Forest not commonly associated with Las Vegas. The road twists and turns through the canyon, the true treasure of the Spring Mountains National Recreation Area. The temperatures are cooler than in Las Vegas, but make no mistake – part of the challenge is staying hydrated on a hot day!
