This beloved community tradition brings together runners, families, and local businesses to celebrate health, togetherness, and the beauty of Windermere. Hosted by the Windermere Parks & Recreation Committee, the race winds through the town’s charming dirt roads under a canopy of century-old oaks and along sparkling lakes. It’s a uniquely scenic and family-friendly event that benefits the preservation and enhancement of Windermere’s public parks. The race has deep roots in the Windermere community. Originally founded in the fall of 2001 as a way to bring residents together in the aftermath of 9/11, it has continued as a symbol of unity, resilience, and shared purpose.
