The fourth race of the 5 Peaks Trail Running Series in Northern Alberta is run at Chickakoo Lake Recreation Area, in Parkland County approximately 30 minutes west of Edmonton.
Chickakoo offers 480 acres of scenic mix of woods and lakes that attracts a diversity of birds and other wildlife such as moose, deer, beavers, and more. It is a popular destination for runners, hikers, cyclists, and horseback riders in summer and is groomed for cross country skiers in winter. The race route is known for grinding hill climbs, technical singletrack, steep downhills, and fast hard pack sections. Distances for all ages, abilities, and ambitions.
