Race Information
This 5 Peaks event in Chickakoo is the fourth event in the Northern Alberta race series.
Chickakoo Lake Recreation Area, located in Parkland County, is a scenic mix of woods and lakes that attracts a diversity of birds and other wildlife such as moose, deer, beavers, and more. The 480 acres of woodland is a popular destination for runners, hikers, cyclists, and horseback riders in summer and is groomed for cross country skiers in winter.
The course is a highlight of the Northern Alberta Series. Featuring technically challenging single track, grinding hill climbs, cruising wide track, and views that go on for days, the course highlights all that this park gem has to offer.
The trail race features a variety of distances, including the 7.9 km Sports Course and the 11.7 km Enduro Course. The event also has a couple of options for the kids -- the 1 km Children's Challenge and the 3 km Timed Kids' Race. Fun trail running for everyone!
