Race Information
The Cowtown Marathon is the largest multi-event race in North Texas! With distances for everyone, including both the Kids 5K and Adults 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, Marathon, and Ultra Marathon, these events accommodate runners and walkers with all athletic abilities.
Here's a rundown of what you can expect over the weekend...
Ultra Marathon
The Cowtown ultramarathon is a 50k road ultra that runners must finish within 7.5 hours. Sag vehicles trail the marathoners and provide rides back to start/finish area for runners who cannot finish. There will be no support after the 7.5-hour limit.
Cowtown Marathon
The road marathon regularly attracts thousands of participants and winds its way through the roads of Fort Worth. This is a must-run race if you're a Texas marathon fanatic.
Half Marathon
Typically run on the same day as the marathon and ultra, the Cowtown half marathon follows a similar road course through the streets of the city. This race regularly has 5,000 participants running it.
10K
The Cowtown's 10k run typically happens on the first day of race weekend, along with the 5k. The race is a mix of urban road and riverfront course, and usually has 2,000+ runners participating in it
5K
The Cowtown 5k race is a very popular 5k road loop that happens the day before the marathon, half, and ultra. 5,000+ runners typically run the 5k. The race also offers a children's 5K, which is open to anyone, but only offers age group awards to people under the age of 17
