The 4.748-mile Manchester Road Race has been a Thanksgiving morning fixture since 1927 when twelve runners toed the line. Now, more than 15,000 registered runners and walkers take part in this world-renowned race. Each year a deep field of world-class runners shows up to entertain the throng of spectators. Being an Olympic medalist is no guarantee of winning at Manchester!
