Race Information

Who’s YOUR superhero…a doctor, a nurse, a teacher, a local police officer, a military veteran, a cancer survivor? Everyone has at least one favorite hero, so grab your cape and come run with other participants! You'll run on a certified 5K and 8K course on River Road and have a gorgeous view of the St. Johns River.

The 5K/8K Superhero Run is the perfect race for serious runners looking to improve times (a great training run for the Gate River Run) and for runners looking for a FUN event with live music, plenty of hero costumes, and a lively runner’s village. All 5K/8K participants will receive superhero shirts and a custom-designed finisher medal at the finish line.

Beginner Runner Training Plans

Are you looking to become a runner for the first time? Coming back to running after a hiatus? Our friends at None to Run have created a gradual training plan for beginner runners!

In 3 workouts of 30 minutes or less per week, None to Run will take you from ground zero to running comfortably for 25 minutes straight.

None to Run is different from most beginner plans:

  • Focuses on running time. NOT distance or pace.
  • Includes simple strength and mobility workouts. No equipment required.
  • Progresses slowly to decrease the chances of getting injured.

If you can't currently run for more than 5-minutes straight without stopping to catch your breath, you're in the right place.

Thousands of people have already used the None to Run plan to finally become the runner they’ve always wanted to be.
