Sprint For Life 5K

Houston, Texas, United States

May, 2027 (TBD)

5k, Fun Run, Fundraiser

Race Information

Run either a timed 5K or join in a non-competitive 5K run/walk to help raise funds for research and increase awareness about ovarian cancer and its symptoms.

Since 1998, the MD Anderson Cancer Center Department of Gynecologic Oncology and Reproductive Medicine Sprint has hosted the Sprint for Life. There will be nearly 20,000 new ovarian cancer diagnoses this year in the U.S. Many patients respond well to treatments such as surgery and chemotherapy after they are diagnosed. However, recurrent ovarian cancer often becomes resistant to chemotherapy. Each year, Sprint for Life funds research grants that research new ways to treat ovarian cancer through the Blanton-Davis Ovarian Cancer Research Program.
