Hood to Coast Turkey Trot Relay & 5K
The Portland Turkey Trot is a 5k run or walk with a relay option that takes place at Portland Interational Raceway. The course is a fun themed course marked by all sorts of holiday lights. This race offers a choice for it’s 5k, and kids can get involved too. Get your little runner on board with the Kid’s Trot.
How the Relay Works
- Assemble teams of four.
- Run/Walk 2 mile closed, paved course (one leg).
- Running teams: Each team member will run two legs (each leg 2 miles long). Runner 1, Runner 2, Runner 3, Runner 4, Runner 1, Runner 2, Runner 3, Runner 4.
- Walking Teams: Each team member will walk one legs (each leg 2 miles long). Walker 1, Walker 2, Walker 3, Walker 4.
Turkey Trotters are encouraged to dress up for this one, as the race organizers usually give out an award for the best holiday outfit. Both runners and walkers are welcome – all abilities.
