2019 Oregon Turkeython Thanksgiving Runs | Portland

Distance 5k, Fun Run
Course Type Road

Race Information

The Turkeython started in 2011 as a way to provide a fun activity for individuals and families on Thanksgiving morning. Sure, other Thanksgiving events were already established, but not in all areas. People will get up early Thanksgiving morning to go to a running event if the event is relatively close.  Lots of people want to run even if they have to travel. The Turkeython was established in several locations so people can choose to run an event that is close to where they live.

All locations have finisher medals, race bibs, announcements, refreshments, and big, inflatable arches.

The Turkeython encourages you to form a team, bring your family, and bring your neighborhood.

In addition to the leader board, all timed Turkeythons are combined into a all-locations leader board. How about that!  You really are competing with all the runners in the other events - you will see how you compare to the other timed Turkeythons.  Only the Downtown Portland Turkeython is not timed, but, those runners get their very own stop watch so they can still have a result.
