LMJS Fourth Sunday Runs
The distances offered at the fourth Sunday races are a 5K (once around the Lake), a 10K (two times around), and 15K (three times around). The course is mostly flat and fast, with just a few small rises around the lake. There is water available to the runners and volunteers to assist the runners. The event happens every month except February, March, and June.
Participation ribbons are given to all runners and place ribbons are awarded to the top runners, both male and female in ten year age groups. All those interested in running, whether beginner, walker, jogger, or competitive racer are welcome to join our monthly runs.
Bring the kids to the Fourth Sunday races -- free, no registration required. The Kids Race is intended for the younger kids, toddlers to first graders as the distance is just 100 yards. Volunteers will supervise the race so that parents and spectators can cheer the kids on. Each child will receive a LMJS logo'ed ribbon. The Youth Race is for older kids, ages 9 to 12, and will take place on the street, Bellevue, and will be about 1/2 mile.
