Sunburst Races, brought to you by Beacon Health System is the largest athletic event held annually in St. Joseph County. It encompasses a half marathon, a 10K run, a 5K run, and a 5K fitness walk. The Sunburst races are certified by the United States of America Track and Field governing body on all courses. People travel from across the United States and even from abroad to compete in Sunburst. It truly is a special event! The races will begin at Four Winds Field, home of the South Bend Cubs, and finish on the 50 yard line of Notre Dame Stadium. Runners will enjoy a beautiful course along the St. Joseph River. The multiple events offered make it possible for all fitness levels to participate.
