Join SCAD Research Inc in various cities across Australia or walk, skip, or run 5kms in your neighbourhood anywhere in Australia in October to raise much-needed funds for SCAD Medical Research!

Registration and donations are tax deductible in Australia, and registered adults can receive free swag PLUS all money raised goes to much-needed medical research to BEAT SCAD Heart Attacks.

SCAD Research Inc has donated over $146k (AUD) to the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute and Mayo Clinic SCAD Study to support their work identifying the most effective ways to diagnose, treat and ultimately prevent SCAD Heart Attacks.

SCAD (Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection) is an uncommon emergency heart condition that occurs when a tear forms in one of the blood vessels in the heart, causing a heart attack or sudden death. SCAD heart attacks typically occur in people with no standard risk factors for heart attack, the average age of patients is just 42 and 80% of sufferers are women.
