Race Information

The annual Family Connections DadsDay Run has raised over $500,000 in net proceeds to support Family Connections' mission of engaging families with young children.

This race would not be here today without the tireless effort of Peter Nagsky and his family. Runners, walkers (bring your dog!), and strollers with kids are all invited to register to participate in the race.

The race will be held rain or shine at the Colonnade near the Shaker Main Library and the Stephanie Tubbs Jones Community Center. There will be free food and beverages, plus a special appearance by special guests!

Beginner Runner Training Plan

Are you looking to become a runner for the first time? Coming back to running after a hiatus? Our friends at None to Run have created a gradual training plan for beginner runners!

The None to Run Beginner Plan is super gradual and achievable, no matter your starting point. In 12 weeks, you’ll be able to run 25 minutes non-stop (and actually enjoy it).

None to Run is different from most beginner plans:

  • Focuses on running time. NOT distance or pace.
  • Includes simple strength and mobility workouts. No equipment required.
  • Progresses slowly to decrease the chances of getting injured.

If you can't currently run for more than 5-minutes straight without stopping to catch your breath, you're in the right place.

Thousands of people have already used the None to Run plan to finally become the runner they’ve always wanted to be.

Become a runner in 12 weeks with the free None To Run training plan!
