Race Information
Kids on The Run and Kids Marathon* are non-competitive running events for children and young people age 17 and younger. Participants can choose from four distances based on their age and ability.
The event will feature a Toddler Trot, Half-Mile, One-Mile and 2K Kids Marathon events. All events take place on the paved trails of Bohrer Park in the City of Gaithersburg. Participants do not run on roads. There is a ‘rabbit’ runner who will lead the participants in each event. There is also a ‘sweeper’ who follows behind for each event insuring everyone makes it back to the finish line. There are multiple opportunities to see and cheer for the youth runners!
