Race Information

Stanhope Trail Races will take you away from the comfort of fast-and-flat urban gravel tracks and into the heart of North East England's glorious, rugged landscapes, nature and heritage. Sign up not for any personal bests but for a serious exploration of Weardale and the North Pennines.

Both 10k and half-marathon start and finish in Stanhope, a delightful market town in the Durham Dales. The routes take in scenic landscapes and archaeological sites in The North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and UNESCO Global Geopark.

The event offers timing, feed stations, marked and marshalled tracks, and event mugs to all participants.
