Billy Goat begins and ends in the shadows of the Saddleback Mountains in Corona, California and climbs up to The Main Divide in The Cleveland National Forest. It's just one hill. Once runners reach The Main Divide, they'll turnaround for a rolling downhill run back for refreshments and awards at the finish line. (10k turns around at first aid station on way up). The 6+ mile climb up Indian Truck Trail to The Main Divide has an elevation gain of about 3,000 feet.

The Village Runner Independence Day 5K is an annual community classic that happens on the 4th of July in Redondo Beach.
Runners can expect chip timing, age division awards, cash prizes to the top three overall male and female runners in the 5K run, and a pretty great pre-race costume contest!
We like that the course is an out and back (you can try and spot your friends). We also like that a portion of all registration fees directly benefit the Redondo Beach Educational Foundation and other local schools.
