Race Information
Originally run on Mother’s Day in 1977, the Mother’s Day 5K is the longest held, all-female running event in the country! This historic event raises crucial funds for the Elizabeth Freeman Center to provide lifesaving, life-renewing help to survivors of domestic and sexual violence, and to their families.
The wish is to honor the Women’s race and its place in women’s history and empowerment, while also increasing community involvement and support by being an all-inclusive event. Children are encouraged to run in the Kids Fun Run, and women, men and LGBTQIA+ participation is welcome in the 1 mile Community Walk.
