Race Information
Since the inaugural race in 1977, Grandma’s Marathon has grown into one of the largest and most popular marathons in the United States. Now much bigger than just a 26.2-mile road race, Grandma’s Marathon is now a “can’t miss” weekend that brings together runners of all calibers and from all over the world for a yearly celebration of the human spirit. Named three straight years as the state’s best annual sporting event by “Minnesota’s Best” voters, Grandma’s Marathon has become the unofficial “kickoff to summer” event in the region. With rolling hills and a net downhill elevation, the racecourse starts north of Duluth, MN near Two Harbors and runs along Scenic Highway 61.
Run Pick of the Month - St. Croix Crossing Half Marathon
Half marathon, 10k, and 5k with a finish over a bridge on July 27, 2024.
Participants in this race can expect a course that includes scenic pine tree lined roads, picturesque farms, and a trip over the scenic St. Croix Crossing Bridge to finish in the heart of historic Stillwater, Minnesota.
Why do we like the location? Stillwater has been named one of the most picturesque small towns in America, its trail system is among the best in the Midwest, and USA Today named it a Top 10 Small Town Food Scene in the country.
The St. Croix Crossing Half features a half marathon (no surprise there!), a 10K and 5K. Historically around 2,000 runners participate in this race
Registration is now open, click the button below to see the course and get more info.
