The Thanksgiving morning Turkey Trot; still the best hedge against stuffing yourself later in the day, the festive way bridge the gap from morning coffee to football & feasting. There's good cheer, costumes and plenty of competitive spirit for those inclined to run hard from the gun.

Kick off the holiday season under the lights at Portland International Raceway with the Turkey Trot Relay and 5K Run/Walk. Note that this event happens the evening before Thanksgiving! Dogs are allowed on the course. Both you and your dog are encouraged to wear costumes.

Clark County Turkey Trot

Clark County Turkey Trot

The race course travels along portions of the Salmon Creek Trail, beginning and ending at Klineline Pond in Vancouver, Washington just across the Columbia River from Portland. The mostly flat course is on paved park trails. Timing chips are optional. All proceeds go to the Clark County Food Bank.

Salem Run'ucopia 5k/10k/15k

The course is a beautiful tour of the largest interconnected urban park system in the United States, beginning at the pavilion on the south side of Salem’s Riverfront Park. The 5k is an out-and-back course, with extra loops thrown in for the longer distances. There is a 1k free kid's run for ages 12 and under.
