The Thanksgiving morning Turkey Trot is a running community tradition!

It's a great way to start off this wonderful holiday. Enjoy some fresh air while you take on a physical challenge and connect with the community at these running events. You will have an extra bounce in your step when you return home and spend quality time with friends and family watching football and feasting on delicious turkey, stuffing, cranberries and more.

Milwaukee Turkey Trot

This is a classic turkey day running event in Milwaukee. Enjoy a scenic 8k or 5k course that runs along the shores of Lake Michigan. This event starts and finishes at Veterans Park where there will be an exciting post-race party to capture the Thanksgiving day spirit.

Mayor's Turkey Day Run

The Kenosha Mayor’s Turkey Day Run came to life in 1978 thanks to the efforts of the Kenosha Running Club. Since then its been annual event that has grown over the years into a venerated event that draws nearly a thousand runners, through good weather and bad. The beautiful 10k and 2 mile courses runs along the Kenosha lakefront on city streets, bike paths, and through parks.

Great Gobble Wobble

The Great Gobble Wobble is a super flat and fast out and back course on the Lake Country Trail that begins at Roosevelt Park in Oconomowoc. Whether you're a super-fast runner looking for a new PR or you simply want to get out and walk with the family, this course is for you! Remember, kids can race the Kiddo's 1K race for free, so bring the whole family.

Oak Creek Turkey Trot 5K

Join 5K Events for Oak Creek's annual Turkey Trot along Lake Michigan. The average American will consume approximately 3,000 calories during his/her Thanksgiving dinner this year. Add in pre-meal snacks and a serving of grandma's famous pie, and that number can easily reach upwards of 4,500 calories. To help burn off all that food, join other runners and burn off as many calories as possible before the bird even comes out of the oven.
