Milwaukee Turkey Trot Guide

The Thanksgiving morning Turkey Trot is a running community tradition!

It's a great way to start off this wonderful holiday. Enjoy some fresh air while you take on a physical challenge and connect with the community at these running events. You will have an extra bounce in your step when you return home and spend quality time with friends and family watching football and feasting on delicious turkey, stuffing, cranberries and more.

Turkey Trot Prediction Run

Turkey Trot Prediction Run

Date: November 3, 2019
Location: Greendale
Distance: 15k, 2 miles

A prediction run, what is that? This event requires each runner to predict how long it will take them to finish the 15km or 2 mile course. The winners are not the first to finish, but those that finish closest to their prediction. 25 winners will receive, yep, you guessed it, a full-sized turkey.

Milwaukee Turkey Trot

Distance: 8k, 5k
Run Size: 3,500

Known for its famous hot Cinnamon Rolls at the finish line, this is a classic turkey day running event in Milwaukee. Enjoy a scenic 8k or 5k course that runs along the shores of Lake Michigan. This event starts and finishes at Veterans Park where there will be a exciting post-race party to capture the Thanksgiving day spirit.

Drumstick Dash

Run Size: 3,000

The Annual Drumstick Dash 5k takes place at Miller Park on Thanksgiving morning. Enjoy a loop course that starts and finishes at the stadium. This event is a run and walk that benefits Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin. For each $1 donated, three meals are provided to a hungry neighbor in Eastern Wisconsin. Be a part of this unique food drive and get out and run!

Mayor's Turkey Day Run

Location: Kenosha
Distance: 10k, 2 mile
Run Size: 2,500

The Kenosha Mayor’s Turkey Day Run came to life in 1978 thanks to the efforts of the Kenosha Running Club. Since then its been annual event that has grown over the years into a venerated event that draws nearly a thousand runners, through good weather and bad. The beautiful 10k and 2 mile courses runs along the Kenosha lakefront on city streets, bike paths, and through parks.

SFB Turkey Trot

Date: November 28, 2019
Location: Cedarburg
Distance: 5k
Run Size: 1,000

This slightly longer than 5k scenic course loops around the mostly rural area in Cedarburg. The event is a fundraiser for the St. Francis Borgia School. Bring the whole family out for a morning of festivies before heading home for Turkey Dinner.

Gobble Wobble

Date: November 28, 2019
Location: Hales Corners
Distance: 5k and Kids 1K
Run Size: 500

This Milwaukee Turkey Day run starts at the Boerner Botanical Gardens. The course takes runners through the winding curves and rolling hills of Whitnall Park. This is a perfect way to build up an appetite for the evening feast.

Racine Turkey Trot

Location: Racine
Distance: 5k
Run Size: 500

Bring the whole family out for a morning of festivies before heading home for Turkey Dinner. The route starts at the North Beach - Kids Cove Area and continues on the bike/walking path up to street level (still on the sidewalk) and then behind the Zoo on the bike\walking path up to Michigan Blvd with the turn around in Michigan Court.

Turkey Trot 5K

Distance: 5k
Run Size: 500

The Turkey Trot 5k Run/Walk benefits the Kelly Johnson Foundation. The race will begin in the parking lot of Mitchell Park and loop around Fox Brook Park.
