Race Information
NYRR Open Run is a series of free weekly runs and walks in your home park. This program is in collaboration with NYC Parks' Community Parks Initiative and is presented by New York Road Runners, whose mission is to help and inspire people through running.
Called the “Gateway to the Bronx River,” 205-acre Soundview Park is located where the Bronx River opens into the East River. It has six grass baseball fields, a cricket pitch, a soccer field, six basketball courts, six handball courts, a running track with synthetic turf field, walking/biking paths, and a performance lawn. The back part of the Open Run course has great views of the waterfront.
