Race Information
The Spartan Race is a series of obstacle course races designed to test endurance, strength, and agility. Participants can choose from different race types, including Sprint, Super, and Beast, each with varying levels of difficulty and distance. The races feature obstacles like walls, ropes, mud pits, and natural terrains like hills and streams. The events are open to all fitness levels, from beginners to elite athletes. The Spartan Race was created by Joe De Sena, a former Wall Street trader, to inspire people to push themselves to their limits and live more active, fulfilling lives.
Located on Big White Mountain, the highest summit in the Okanagan Highland will provide the most epic terrain for this weekend race. Just 56 km southeast of Kelowna, the course is sure to celebrate British Columbia with rugged single tracks, alpine views, and challenging climbs.

Run Pick of the Month - WWF Climb for Nature
Unique event happening inside BC Place on May 26, 2024.
The WWF Climb for Nature is your chance to get into the fight against wildlife loss and climate change by fundraising and climbing up and down the stairs of each section in the lower bowl of the iconic BC Place stadium.
This is the first time an event like this has ever happened inside BC Place. You can choose a single bowl climb (approx. 3,000 steps) or double bowl climb (approx. 6,000 steps).
All funds raised at the event will go towards protecting and restoring the crucial habitats of southern resident killer whales, salmon, Vancouver Island marmots and other at-risk wildlife in BC and throughout Canada.
